"Rigorous procedures"

As notarial service is concerned, primarily we provide authentication and certification of signatures of the documents that are mainly used abroad. The process is rigorously carried out in compliance with the Notaries Practice Rules 2009 . The signatory’s signature is duly witnessed, Customer due diligence (CDD) is carried out in identifying the clients and make sure they are who they say they are. This normally involves identity documents (passport or driving licence) and / or proof of address documents.

Apostille Certificate

In most cases, the notarised documents are going to used abroad, thus, an extra process of legalisation is required. Legalisation with an apostille is a service provided by UK FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth, Development Office). At ACMA, we built up a team that is dedicated to assisting our clients with this process.

If your document is going to be used in a country that is not a member of state of Hague Convention Abolishing The Requirement Of Legalisation For Foreign Public Documents (Concluded 5 October 1961), you may check the current list of the member of HCCH.

If your document is going to be used in a counrty that is a member of HCCH, it can be used straight after obtaining an apostille attached to it (Hague apostille); otherwise a futhter legalisation / attestation at the consular office of the country's embassy is required. As we are at the primary location ofLondon, which enable us to have easy access to almost all consular office in London. This has been the major advantage for us to offer you the efficient consular services.
